Woppado Racing and Street Car Super Nationals VII
Team up for WCOPMA Opener !!
John Scialpi and his Woppado Racing 1957 Chevy is making the trek
from Southern California to Eagle, Idaho for the West Coast Outlaw Pro
Mod Association season opener at the famous Firebird Raceway's Fox Hunt.
Scialpi, a 35-year Pro Mod veteran is coming off a big win last month in
Las Vegas (PSCA/Hughes Performance Pro Street) and has plenty of
experience on the Firebird's famed quarter mile.
Over his illustrious Pro Mod/Pro Street career, John has notched
wins in Canada, Australia and just about every western United States
track except one...Idaho!
Woppado Racing has always run well at
Firebird, but for one reason or another a win had eluded the team. Let's
all hope this all changes this weekend!

The Racing Community Loses One Of The Good
Ones....
From PSCA Racer Jimmy Mock "We
lost one of our own yesterday to an unfortunate accident. Perry and I
had become friends over the last 3 years through a mutual love of 51
Chevy race cars. He had recently been improving the performance of his
race car and was extremely excited to be a part of this years Street
Car Super Nationals. R.I.P. Good Friend!" Perry raced his '51
Blown Chevy in the West Coast Pro Mod Association..

BOISE - A helicopter chartered by a state wildlife agency plunged into
a travel trailer and crashed Tuesday on a downtown street in he small
Idaho town of Kamiah, killing two biologists and the pilot.
Officials suspect mechanical failure caused the aircraft to flip over
before it plummeted from the sky just a block from Main Street. Debris
was scattered along several blocks, but no one on the ground was
injured.
Witness Jim Emmert saw the crash from his house. "I saw white parts
coming off of it," Emmert said of the helicopter. "It made a crumpled
sound - like paper being crumpled - and then a loud crash and an
explosion. And then nothing."
The Fish and Game biologists on board were identified as Larry
Barrett, 47, and Danielle Schiff, 34. The pilot was Perry J. Krinitt,
43, of Belgrade, Mont.
The Department of Fish and Game had chartered the aircraft from
Clarkston-based Leading Edge Aviation to count salmon spawning nests
on the Selway River.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Lewis County Sheriff's
Office were investigating the crash.

Ballance
Racing Bringing A Hired Gun To SCSN 5......
 2-time
ADRL Pro Nitrous National Event Winner Terry Housley will be
piloting the Ballance Racing '53 Corvette at this years Street Car
Super Nationals, Nov 19-22 at "The Strip" at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway in the Hughes Performance Pro Street class..
Joining the team as well for the Super Nats will be Terry's son
Blake... Mark, Bryan, Chris and Irv Ballance already make up this
very talented crew, "but adding Blake Housley will give us the much
needed experience to compete at this very competitive race" says
team owner Irv Ballance... "We're all really excited about the
additions to our team and look forward on improving on our
semi-final finish at last years SCSNs"
864 cubic inches of muscle from a Sonny's Hemi powerplant and
several SpeedTech Nitrous systems propel the 1953 Corvette based out
of Folsom, California. The car has run a best et of 6.39 at 218 mph
in the quarter mile to date, but look for improved times as the year
progresses... The team is sponsored by the family owned business
'Ballance Construction' Terry Housley and the Ballance Racing Team
will compete in several other events in preparation for the Super
Nationals including the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mods "Fox Hunt" event
in Sacramento, California and 2 ADRL events in Rockingham & Texas.

Racing" Blown '55 Chevy of Keith Goolsby at this weekends
Street Car Super Nationals at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway.....
Palmer who resides in
Marionville, Missouri finished 8th in IHRA Top Fuel points on a
limited schedule and is looking forward to getting back behind the
wheel of a blown door car!! The ride, is a 1955 Chevy Pro Mod
Chassis with a 540ci BAE with a Screwcharger. The car has been as
fast at 6.70 at over 210MPH with the an old blower combo, but with
the new Screw... The car should go quite a bit Quicker &
Faster.. Car owner, Keith Goolsby owns and operates www.superlifts.com
and just recently updated the car.

Are Two Bennett's
Better than One??
With the SCSN IV only a week
away, Father & Son Team Joe & Cody Bennett are chomping at the
bit...  With
two runner-ups and semi final this year with the PSCA, we are counting
the minutes until the Street Car Super Nationals start!!! Last year we
came up a little short at the SCSN III with a RU finish in Double
Index... Cody "The Kid" Bennett will be driving in Open Comp
in our little red Vega for the World Finals make up race and for
the SCSN IV, while the elder Bennett "Joe" battles in Double
Index. Next year we plan on running 2 cars in the PSCA's Mean Street
Class. The Bennett's would like to thank the following for making it

Network Will Have A Live Feed For SCSN IV
"What goes
on in Vegas, stays in Vegas?"
Well, not exactly..... Jimmy Biggs and the Your Way Network will be in
Las Vegas for the Chris Alston's Chassisworks  Street
Car Super Nationals, November 20-23, and you know what that means?? Up
to 2.5 million sets of eyeballs in 130 plus countries will get an
opportunity to "see what really happens in Vegas?" Jimmy will
have his live streaming video going from start to finish from Friday -
Sunday. In addition, Jimmy will be in the pits interviewing the racers,
sponsors and maybe a few spectators thrown in.
This special presentation of the YWN live coverage of the SCSN event in
Vegas and the later footage will be presented and sponsored by Accufab,
Inc.

Gate To Open At 9am On Thursday Nov 20th...
Do
to the large amount of cars expected for this event, we will now open
the gates at 9am on Thursday for pit parking... Test n Tune will be from
4pm - 8:30 with the Muscle Motors Quickest Pro Street Challenge from
8:30-9:00pm ($500.00 to the quickest Pro Street pass during that
session) Staging lanes will close to all other class cars at 8pm on
Thursday evening.
If anyone wants to drop off their rig on Wednesday (No camping inside
the gates on Wednesday night only) between 12noon and 5pm, give me a

It's
Official..... Gliddens' To Match Race Cobra Jet's In Vegas
 PSCA &
SCSN President Mel Roth announces today that Ford Racing icons
Bob and Bill Glidden, will battle each other in a best 2 out of 3 grudge
race at the Street Car Super Nationals IV November 20-23, 2008 at the
Strip in Las Vegas. Both Glidden's will be in Limited Production Ford
Racing "Cobra Jet" Mustangs and the gloves will be off between
these two Ford Racing legends!!!
Roth
states "We knew there was a chance with both Glidden's being here
racing in the Accufab Outlaw 10.5 class that they might line up
against each other during the weekend, but now there's a new twist
as both father & son will be in equally matched hot rods and the
best Glidden will prevail".
Jim D'Amore from JDM Engineering brought up the idea and Jesse Kershaw
from Ford Motorsports made it happen with (2) 2008 Ford factory
built race Mustangs we knew it would be a crowd pleaser. Bob
and Bill will also be signing both cars as many other Ford Racing
Legends will be doing in the weeks prior. Round 1 of the epic
battle will take place on Saturday at high noon, with Rounds 2 & 3
(If necessary) taking place on Sunday with the times TBA.

York to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the 2008 Street Car Super
Nationals Nov 20-23 on the legendary Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
in the Xtreeme Drag Radial class..... Earlier this year in Englishtown New

Am in Outlaw 10.5 at the Chris Alston's Chassisworks Street Car Super

the weekend of Nov 21st-23rd when top racers from across the US and
Canada (Including Bob's son Bill) invade Las Vegas for the "East vs.
West" Street Car Shootout!!!
The car Bob will
be driving is owned by PGA Pro Kenny

(19th ranked golfer in the world) The Grand-Am is powered by a "Glidden
Racing Engines" Small Block Ford with Multiple Edelbrock Nitrous Oxide

event hosted the Quickest 32-Car Pro Street field in heads-up racing
