Figuring
out your Weight:
This might seem to be complicated, but it really makes for very competitive
racing!!! First of all, you need to know how many cubic inches your engine is and a calculator to
make it easier... For example you have a 550ci Big Block(3125lbs) with
Sheet Metal Intake(+10%), Dry Sump(+10%) and a Power-Glide
Transmission(-15%) Total up your weights adds and subtract your weight
deducts....You would take your Cubic Inch multiply by the amount Adds or
Deducts and come up with your PSCA Race Weight......Example for above...
Add 10% + 10% - 15% which equals a total of 5%.. Take that 5%x 550 which equals
27.5lbs, add that to your 3125 Base Weight (27.5 + 3125 ='s 3152.5lbs) Your
SCSN RACE WEIGHT WILL BE 3153....We will round up all figures to the nearest
pound.. If anyone has any trouble figuring out your weight for
your combo, you can contact Mel at 661-917-3078 and I will assist you...

RACE DAY POLICY'S
Field
Size and Ladder:
Hot Street will qualify for a 32-car
field (with Alternates) and will be
put on a 32-car Pro Ladder. If less
than 32 cars enter, we will follow
the NHRA "Official Ladder"
for the field size....
All cars that DO NOT QUALIFY,
will be eligible to enter into our
Bracket-1 Class on Sunday that will
pay a guaranteed $1250.00 to WIN....
Alternates:
If
there are more than 32 cars
qualifying for the 32-car field, we
will start inserting alternates (To
replace broken qualified cars)
starting at spot 33 and so on... If
you are an alternate, and a spot
opens up, you will be inserted in
the 1st available position before
the drivers meeting on Sunday
morning. This will give the
qualified cars overnight to get the
cars repaired.
SCALES:
After each qualifying and elimination pass, all cars must stop and weigh at the track scales. If you lose in eliminations, and your opponent fails to make weight you will be reinstated into the eliminations only if you made minimum weight requirements. If both cars failed to make minimum weight, both cars will be disqualified. It is the driver's responsibility to verify with each track scale, the weight of his/her car prior to each race day. There will 5lb error factor allowed.
TOW BACK
& TOW VEHICLES:
All
Hot Street entries are allowed to tow to staging lanes and to the track scales with a golf cart or other similar small tow vehicle. All carts will be subject to search by a SCSN Official at any time.
Alternating Lanes During
Qualifying:
Each
Hot Street driver
must alternate lanes during
qualifying. If you choose
to ignore this rule, your
second consecutive pass in the
same lane on the same day will be
disqualified.
Auto-Start:
The Auto-Start
System will be turned on
with a 7-sec timeout
BYE-RUNS:
All vehicles must take the tree, and run down the 1/4 mile.
The SCSN has the right to
change or alter these rules/weights
at anytime up to October
17th, 2011 at which time
they will become final...
