2009 ACCUFAB OUTLAW 10.5 RULES

Class Description
Outlaw 10.5 will run on a
1/4 mile format with a 32-car qualified field.
BODY:
Steel, aluminum, fiberglass and carbon fiber body parts are allowed as long as the car retains it's original appearance and profile. Full Fiberglass bodies
or are allowed but must be to exact specs of an OEM body of the same year, make & model. Wheel well openings can be modified for tire clearance. No drastic molding-in of wings. Rear wings are allowed, but may not extend more than 28 inches from the transition point with the body to the tip. The drivers and passenger doors must be fully operational and must open from the outside. Fake or airbrushed grills are allowed as long as it looks original, but the car still must have 2 driving lights facing forward in the front end of the vehicle. *SCSN reserves the right to add weight penalties for body modification deemed not within the body rule.
POWER ADDER:
Any ONE TYPE power adder is OK. (See weight adds & deducts below)
WHEELBASE:
Car must be within (4) four inches +/- of factory specifications for make & model entered.
BRACKET RACING AIDS:
The use of bracket racing aids such as optical sensors, delay boxes, stutter boxes, and throttle
stops are not allowed.
CHASSIS / SUSPENSION:
Any chassis and suspension combination that passes NHRA safety standards is allowed.
EXHAUST:
Mufflers are required on all entries except turbo cars.
Collector Mufflers are permitted.
If no mufflers see add

FUEL / FUEL SYSTEMS:
The PSCA reserves the right to check fuel
for additives at any time. Gasoline or Alcohol are the only two acceptable fuels.
STREET LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
Car must appear to look street-able. Brake lights, turn signals not required to operate.
OIL
RETENTION DEVICE: Device
may be custom-built ballistic
blanket-style or metal-style (I.e.,
bucket) device. Metal pan may
be no longer than the engine
from the front of crank shaft to
the rear of the flywheel. Pan
must be inside the frame rails and
fabricated to retain oil / liquid. Pan
must attach to the frame via
conventional fasteners or straps.
Pan must be a minimum of
3-inches above ground.
GROUND
CLEARANCE:
Minimum 3 inches from front
of vehicle to 12 inches behind
centerline of front axle; 2 inches
for remainder of vehicle, except oil
pan and exhaust headers.
TIRES:
Front tires must
have a minimum tread width
of 4.5 inches. Rear tire
size: Mickey Thompson Or
Goodyear 31 or 33 x 10.5w Slicks

WEIGHT BREAKS:
Weight breaks are determined by engine combinations and power adders.

Size and Ladder:
Outlaw
10.5 will qualify for a 32-car
field (with Alternates) and will be
put on a 32-car Pro Ladder. If less
than 32 cars enter, we will follow
the NHRA "Official Ladder"
for the field size....
All cars that DO NOT QUALIFY,
will be eligible to enter into our
Bracket-1 Class on Sunday that will
pay a guaranteed $1000.00 to WIN....
Alternates:
If
there are more than 32 cars
qualifying for the 32-car field, we
will start inserting alternates (To
replace broken qualified cars)
starting at spot 33 and so on... If
you are an alternate, and a spot
opens up, you will be inserted in
the 1st available position before
the drivers meeting on Sunday
morning. This will give the
qualified cars overnight to get the
cars repaired.

CONTINGENCY
PROGRAM: All contingency decals may appear anywhere on the vehicle in a clear and organized fashion. Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified. Most decals are available at the SCSN Event Trailer, but in the event the SCSN does not have the decals in stock, it is the racer's responsibility to obtain the proper decals to be eligible for the Contingency payout.

RACE DAY POLICY'S SCALES:
After each qualifying and elimination pass, all cars must stop and weigh at the track scales. If you lose in eliminations, and your opponent fails to make weight you will be reinstated into the eliminations only if you made minimum weight requirements. If both cars failed to make minimum weight, both cars will be disqualified. It is the driver's responsibility to verify with each track scale, the weight of his/her car prior to each race day. There will 5lb error factor allowed.
TOW BACK & TOW VEHICLES:
All Outlaw 10.5 entries are allowed to tow to staging lanes and to the track scales with a golf cart or other similar small tow vehicle. All carts will be subject to search by a SCSN Official at any time.
BYE-RUNS:
All vehicles must take the tree, and run down the
1/4 mile.
